"Best place we have
visited during our holiday. The children have enjoyed this more
than London Zoo".
"A wonderful place, lovely to be able to get so close to
the animals, with great staff who make you feel special".

The Park is open for school groups everyday
from 27th March, 2010 to October 31st, 2010.
Whether you’re arranging an educational
visit or a recreational field trip you won’t be disappointed.
We pride ourselves in providing an exciting, fun-filled day
out, nose-to-nose with nature, a wildlife experience that will
appeal to all ages!
The main difference between our Park and other animal attractions
is that every child has the opportunity to learn through close
interaction with many species of birds and animals. Pupils are
encouraged to hand-feed the wild ducks, geese and swans as well
as assisting with feeding our penguins, parrots and wallabies.
We have a special Pets Corner, full of furry friends that love
to be stroked and for the more daring youngsters there’s
a hands-on encounter with reptiles and giant insects in our
Tropical House!
Our Keeper Presentations (Wildlife Events) are
fun and informative – geared to encourage participation
and learning. There are nine Wildlife Events daily (seven days
a week)– for full details and times please see our ‘Daily
Wildlife Events’ Link.
Tara Hayter: Education Officer
We have two indoor education
and fun centres – the Activity Den for younger pupils
to enjoy a playful learning experience, and the Discovery
Zone – where pupils of various ages can add to their
knowledge and bring nature to life!
Learning is further promoted through attractive, easy-to-read
signs situated around the Park - many geared especially for
children.
Tara Hayter, our Education Officer, is actively involved
with schools on the Island. During our ‘out of season’
months Tara has become increasingly involved with educational
presentations to school groups - these are fun, interactive
outings where Tara is accompanied by members of our animal
and insect collection!
To find out more about a Keeper visit to your school on the
Isle of Wight, please contact Tara directly by email on: keeper@seaviewwildlife.com
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Your visit will be an educational experience that will bring
every student’s five senses to life! Every school is made
to feel welcome with a friendly chat from one of our Animal
Keepers before entering the Park – this includes a Health
& Safety briefing wherein we outline the key risks and hazards
and request that everyone is aware of the nature of the animal
encounter experience.
Basic instruction on matters concerning the Health & Safety
of all visitors is given during our Keeper presentations (Daily
Wildlife Events) at the Park. It is recommended, however, that
teachers and accompanying responsible adults make themselves
familiar with our Health & Safety
guidelines prior to their visit (available under the Health
& Safety link on this website).
Park Risk Assessments are available to view at the Park’s
Main Entrance Reception or can be emailed/posted prior to your
visit, by request – please contact info@seaviewwildlife.com
