The walks from our house are excellent and can be a pleasant stroll up the river to the Red Lion, or a challenging hike out to the Needles headland and back via Freshwater Bay. There is also plenty of scope for the cyclist as we are on the round-the-island cycle route. Cycles are available for hire from the town.
The West Wight, of which Yarmouth is the gateway, has some wonderful unspoilt beaches which provide excellent opportunities for swimming and other water sports.
