Yarmouth itself is a pretty little town with a plethora of pubs, restaurants and coffee houses which are able to cater for every taste, from the lowly sandwich to a Michelin starred hotel.

It is an ancient town with an interesting history, having a castle built by Henry VIII and town hall, which once returned two Members of Parliament.

There is a harbour, which is very popular with visiting yachtsmen and provides much bustling activity, especially during weekends when Yarmouth can become very busy.

There is a good bus service from Yarmouth, including the Island Explorer, which can take you right round the Island. By buying a Rover Ticket, you can use the buses for unlimited travel, getting on and off whenever you wish.

Yarmouth is, altogether, an excellent base if you want to leave your car behind and have a relaxing holiday. By using The Laurels as your pied-a-terre you will have made an ideal choice of accommodation and we will be very happy to give you all the information you require to help you make the most of your stay.
